Husbands, Love Your Wives

Here are three ways that Christian husbands must love their wives according to Ephesians 5:25–33:

1. He must give his life for his wife.
2. He must lead his wife to live holy.
3. He must nourish and cherish his wife.

Here are six behaviors that complete a husband’s love for his wife:

1. He observes the hidden person of her heart (1 Pet 3:4).
2. He understands his wife (1 Pet 3:7).
3. He honors his wife as a Christian (1 Pet 3:7).
4. He does not act bitterly to his wife (Col 3:19).
5. He encourages his wife’s godly and chaste behavior (1 Tim 2:10; 1 Pet 3:2).
6. He supports her good works (1 Tim 2:10).
